The 17th century Old Manor House hotel in the village of Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, has been put on the market.

Built in 1609 as the residence for the abbot of an ancient abbey that once stood in Keynsham, the Grade II-listed property is believed to be the oldest dwelling in the Somerset village.

It is well-placed to enjoy both tourist and commercial trade throughout the year, benefiting from good transport links and proximity to many of the area’s attractions.

The three-star property, which was renovated in 2001, has nine bedrooms, a 30-seat brasserie, and meeting facilities. A three-bedroom cottage in the garden serves as accommodation for the owners.

Guests can take advantage of a wealth of spa and sporting facilities nearby.
