Edinburgh's THC buys first Glasgow hotel

Luxury Edinburgh hotel group the Town House Company (THC) has bought its first property in Glasgow, for an undisclosed sum.

The former Royal Scottish Automobile Club building in Blythswood Square will be converted into a luxury 109-bedroom hotel with conference facilities, restaurants, a bar, a leisure club and a spa.

THC chairman Peter Taylor said: "The chance to restore the property tastefully into a contemporary hotel, retaining its unique features and personality, is a wonderful opportunity. We're delighted to be the new owners."
