The Bench: London weekly hotel performance to 15 January, 2006
London hotels saw revenue per available room (revpar) rise by 6% in the week ending 15 January, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar grew to £97.92, up from £92.40 during the equivalent week last year.
Occupancy grew marginally by 0.1 percentage points to 73.4%.
The revpar rise stemmed from a 5.8% increase in average room rate to £133.32, up from £125.97 in the corresponding week of 2005.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
The online service allows users to track their performance in average room rate, occupancy and revpar in a variety of formats and to measure their daily performance against their competitors.
