Linda and Nigel Hodgson celebrate after their Lancaster chippy, Hodgson's, won the National Fish and Chip Shop of the Year competition last week. In second place was Andy's, in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, while third was McDermott's in Croydon, Surrey.

Now in its 18th year, the annual competition is organised by Seafish (the Sea Fish Industry Authority).
