Rezidor SAS report a rise in turnover(13 February 2006 14:00)An increase in revenue per available room of 11% has led to strongly improved results for hotel operator, Rezidor SAS Hospitality. The group, which operates the Radisson, Regent, Park Inn and Country Inn brands reported turnover of €587m (£401m) and pre-tax profit of €31.6m (£21.6m) for 2005. This compares with turnover of €498.7m (£341m) and profit of €4.2m (£2.87m) the previous year. The group signed 29 new hotel contracts and opened 37 new properties last year, as well as agreeing a worldwide licence agreement with fashion house Missoni. This growth strategy, according to president and chief executive Kurt Ritter, is one of the company’s “biggest assets”. Three-quarters of the group is owned by the SAS Group, while the remaining 25% is owned by Carlson Hotels Worldwide. Article continues below
