Guidelines and advice on chip and PIN can now be found at a website set up by industry body the HCIMA and card-systems specialist Kilrush Consultancy.

The site includes sections on events, news and "frequently asked questions".

The final phase of chip and PIN roll-out comes into force today: after today card companies will be able to decline transactions if a PIN number is not used.
