The Marric hotel in Poole, Dorset, has been put on the market for the first time in a quarter of a century.

The Edwardian property, which dates back to 1915, is made up of four semi-detached homes that have been linked together over the years by current owner Anthony Light, who bought the first building in 1981.

Its location on the A35 Bournemouth Road in the Parkstone area is just a short drive from Poole Harbour.

Facilities include 13 en-suite letting bedrooms, a 60-seat restaurant, a 30-seat bar and a large car park.

In addition, the owners’ accommodation provides two double bedrooms, a kitchen/breakfast room, a lounge, bathroom and a loft room

“The hotel trades all year round offering accommodation, breakfast and a Sunday carvery. The current owner also provides catering for private functions, which are held in the bar/restaurant area of the hotel,” said James Finn from the Winchester office of Christie + Co.

“Further rooms can be converted and added with ease and the business has a good mixture of leisure and commercial trade.”

Christie + Co is seeking offers of around £1m for the Marric.
