Stuart Leven is to quit his role as sales and marketing director of Choice Hotels Europe to take up a new position at Thistle Hotels.

His new job absorbs some of the responsibilities of Thistle's previous sales and marketing director, Richard Adler, who left the hotel group last month.

Leven said he would effectively be group sales and marketing director at Thistle, although the title of his new job was not yet set in stone.

"My key remit is to oversee the development of the Thistle and Guoman brands and to oversee the day-to-day running of the sales, marketing, revenue and distribution operations," he said.

Leven joined Choice 15 months ago after three years at Moat House Hotels, where he served as UK sales and marketing director.

Adler joined Thistle from Hilton International six years ago, initially to run its national sales team. He said he was currently pursuing a number of options.
