Four Seasons Hampshire wins Best New Development of the Year award

The Four Seasons Hotel in Hook, Hampshire took the plaudits at this year's International Hotel and Investment Forum in Berlin.

Four Seasons' latest development in the UK was awarded the Best New Development of the Year by property and real estate professionals.

Speaking at the event, Chris Rouse, senior director at CB Richard Ellis Hotels, said this was the toughest section to judge.

The other shortlisted candidates for the prize were Radisson SAS's striking new hotel in Frankfurt and the Hotel Du Vin in the old Brakespear brewery site in Henley, Berkshire.

The Single Asset Deal of The Year went to Kingdom Hotel Investments and Fairmont's purchase of London's Savoy.

The Portfolio Deal of the Year went to Starwood Capital after its swoop for Groupe Taittinger, owner of hotel group Societe Du Louvre, which runs Paris's luxury Crillion property.
