The Bench: London weekly hotel performance to 5 March, 2006
London hotels boosted revenue per available room (revpar) by 13.5% in the week ending 5 March, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.
Revpar grew to £101.56, up from £89.45 during the equivalent week last year thanks to increases in both occupancy and average room rate.
Occupancy grew by 5.5 percentage points to 77.3% while average room rate rose by 5.5% to £131.40, up from £124.58 in the corresponding week of 2005.

The Bench - which is partnered with US firm Smith Travel Research - provides online benchmarking data for in excess of 34,000 hotels in more than 400 markets.
The online service allows users to track their performance in average room rate, occupancy and revpar in a variety of formats and to measure their daily performance against their competitors.
