The Bench: North-eastern hotel performance in February 2006

Hotels in the North East of England saw revenue per available room (revpar) drop by 1% during the month of February.

Revpar fell to £48.86, down from £49.36 in February 2005, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Although occupancy grew by 3.3 percentage points to 77.7%, average room rate decreased by 5.2% to £62.90, compared with £66.38 in February 2005.
