The Samling hotel in the Lake District has recruited Piers Mortimer as deputy general manager. Mortimer has moved from Rheged, the Cumbrian visitor centre in Penrith, where he was food and beverage manager. He is also a former deputy general manager of the Vineyard at Stockcross in Newbury, Berkshire.
