Swallow Hotels buys multi-million-pound Edinburgh hotel

The rapidly-growing London and Edinburgh Swallow Group has bought Edinburgh's Learmonth hotel in a multi-million-pound deal.

It acquired the hotel from Scottish hotel, bar and club operator Festival Inns, which picked it up as part of a larger transaction in 2004 but decided it was not core to its mainstream business.

The hotel is a Grade B-listed Georgian townhouse located in Learmonth Terrace, just minutes away from Princes Street, in a conservation area of the city.

Facilities include 62 individual bedrooms, a 90-seat breakfast room, a 65-seat bar and a 180-capacity function suite

Property agent Creevy LLH sold the hotel in a confidential, off-market sale.
