Chris Corbin and Jeremy King to open new London restaurant in October

Legendary London restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King are set to unveil a new venue only a stone's throw away from the Wolseley on Picadilly, Caterer can exclusively reveal.

Their latest venture, likely to be named Rex, will serve modern European food and is tentatively earmarked for an October opening.

Rex will occupy the 8,000sq ft ground floor of Rex House on the corner of Regent Street, a mixed-use building that also houses offices, shops and fitness clubs.

The 100-seat restaurant will be designed by architects Stiff and Trevillon.

A head chef has yet to be appointed.

Corbin and King acquired a long leasehold on the site in an off-market deal from the Pomodorino Group, which owns several restaurants in Rome.

The sale was handled by property agent Davis Coffer Lyons, which has been involved in the acquisition of the all the duo's award-winning restaurants, including their current venue, the Wolseley.
