Abode Hotels promotes Nick Halliday to managing director

Fast-growing Abode Hotels has promoted head of operations Nick Halliday to the role of managing director.

Abode has grown quickly since business partners Andrew Brownsword and Michael Caines launched it officially last September with a new look Clarence hotel in Exeter.

Abode now has hotels in Glasgow and Canterbury, with Manchester and Chester due to open in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Caines said: "This appointment is a timely and positive step for our business. Nick and I have worked hard to develop an original and attractive proposition."
