Bank Restaurant Group's managing director quits

The managing director of Bank Restaurant Group is to quit his role from the end of the month.

Christian Delteil, who was also responsible for the operations of the three Bank restaurants, will remain on the Board in a non-executive capacity and will also consult for the group.

David Best has been appointed to take over as director of operations for the Bank Restaurants, The Aldwych, Birmingham and Westminster with immediate effect.

Best had been at the Parisian patisserie group, Laduree but had previously been general manager Conran's Coq d'Argent in the City.

The group's chairman, Robert Breare said: "We are delighted both to have an ongoing relationship with Christian which will enable the Group to benefit from his continued involvement and would like to welcome David to the team.

The Group announced a new Zinc Bar & Grill will open in Manchester's Trafford Centre in September under a revamped format last week.
