Sam and Maxie's big-city site
La Tasca is to open its second UK Sam and Maxie's site in Manchester's Trafford Centre next month.
The group's grill and smokehouse brand, which launched in February at Stevenage Leisure Park in Hertfordshire, will replace Italian restaurant Tiggis in the centre's Orient Leisure Dome along with three other new operators. They include
12-strong boutique restaurant chain Giraffe, which will open its first site outside London at the centre. The other two names are PizzaExpress and Café Rouge.
Occupants of the centre's new Great Hall extension have yet to be finalised. Those already signed include Bank Restaurant Group's Zinc Bar Café and Zinc, and Costa Coffee. Deals with other operators are still in discussion.
Food service consultant Jonathan Doughty said: "The Trafford Centre is the highest-grossing single location in the UK for food service, and these changes will enhance both the guest experience and choice."
