Hyatt and Blackstone to invest in Croatia

Hotel chain Hyatt International and US investment group Blackstone are planning to invest in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

US representatives of the two companies arrive in Dubrovnik later this month following a twinning project between Dubrovnik and Monterey, California.

Croatian representatives and heads of leading city hotels (Excelsior, Argentina, Hilton Imperial, Pallace and Babin kuk) will meet in July in Dubrovnik with the head of the Monterey Conference Centre and the manager of a Monterey hotel.

Monterey officials are especially interested in plans for a golf course in Srdj, which they consider a prime location in the Mediteranean region, and thus a potential project for investment.
