The Bench: Scottish hotel performance in May 2006

Hotels in Scotland boosted revenue per available room (revpar) by 4.5% during the month of May.

Revpar rose to £56.36, up from £53.91 in May 2005, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Occupancy grew by 2.5 percentage point to 80.9% while average room rate increased by 1.4% to £69.63 compared with £68.69 in May 2005.
