East Dulwich was the clear winner in LBC’s Living London Awards last week, with three of the five hospitality awards going to businesses there.

All centred around the Lordship Lane area, Liquorish, Blue Mountain Café and The Palmerston won best neighbourhood bar, coffee shop and gastro pub respectively.

Nearby Joanna’s in Crystal Palace also took home a gold medal, for best neighbourhood restaurant, and firmly cemented south-east London’s place in the winner’s circle.

The sole north London catering winner, the Rosslyn Deli in Hampstead, won its class but was closely followed by yet another Lordship Lane resident – the East Dulwich Deli.

Set up in 2003 to celebrate Londoner’s local secrets and hidden gems the Living London award winners are chosen exclusively by LBC listeners.
