While congratulating the worthy winners of this year's Cateys - in particular, the Independent Hotel of the Year, the Chester Grosvenor and Spa, with which we are yet again associated - I am aware that Caterer would always welcome even more nominations from its readers.

Clearly, the judges would appreciate having the widest possible field from which to make their choice.

I know from personal experience how many distractions prevent hoteliers and restaurateurs from attending to paperwork, so may I respectfully suggest that now is the time to ask for early nominations for the 2007 awards?
