Tony Potter to head Corinthia hotel management arm

Tony Potter, the outgoing chief executive of Millennium & Copthorne (M&C), is to take up a new position as head of Corinthia Hotels International (CHI).

Potter, who announced his resignation from M&C last week, will become the new chief executive of the hotel management arm of the Maltese-owned Corinthia Group.

CHI manages 20 four- and five-star hotels spread across Europe and Africa and is about to begin a rapid expansion programme over the next few years.

Potter said: "I am excited by the prospect of joining CHI and building on what is already an excellent reputation."

Corinthia Group chairman Alfred Pisani commented: "We have ambitious plans for our hotel business, as investors and operators, and we welcome Tony as a key contributor to this development and growth."
