Wyndham and Corinthia sign EMEA management deal

Wyndham Hotel Group and the Corinthia Group have signed a deal to jointly manage hotels under the Wyndham and Ramada brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Under the terms of the agreement, 15 existing Corinthia-owned hotels across the region will be rebranded as Ramada Plaza and Wyndham hotels, while certain Corinthia-branded properties will spearhead a new tier, the Wyndham Grand Collection.

As part of the deal, the Wyndham Hotel Group will also enter into partnership with Corinthia Hotels International to offer hotel management services to those brands in the EMEA region.

Wyndham Hotel Group's president and chief executive officer, Steven Rudnitsky, said: "This relationship will expand our portfolio in the EMEA region and establish our management business, which will become an integral component of our expansion strategy."

The deal is expected to be finalised within the next two months. Financial terms were not disclosed.
