Jurys Doyle loses second top executive

Dublin-based hotel group Jurys Doyle is to lose its second top executive this year when Paul McQuillan leaves his role as finance director at the end of the month.

McQuillan's departure to pursue other business interests follows the resignation of chief executive Pat McCann in May, when he was replaced by Niall Geoghegan.

McCann joined the Jurys Hotel Group in 1989 as general manager of the Jurys Ballsbridge and Towers hotels in Dublin.

He became a director in 1994 and, in May 2000, was promoted to chief executive of the new group, called the Jurys Doyle Group, following the takeover of the Doyle Hotel Group the year before.

The group was taken private by the Doyle and Beatty families last October.
