Honeycombe Leisure chairman in talks for company

North-east pub company Honeycombe Leisure could be snapped up by its chairman, Sandy Anderson.

In a statement to the London Stock Market, the Alternative Investment Market-listed firm said it had received offers for the company since it put itself on the market in June, but they were too low to take further.

However, Honeycombe confirmed it had received a preliminary approach from Anderson and discussions with him were continuing.

Anderson's preliminary approach is thought to value the 115-strong group at less than its previously stated market value of £36.5m.
