UK tourism associations unite to form powerful voice for lobbying
Five of the UK's leading tourism associations have come together to create a collective voice for lobbying and policy.
The Tourism Society, The British Resorts and Destinations Association, Destination Performance UK, The Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management and the Tourism Management Institute have joined forces to create a stronger national voice for UK tourism.
Collectively they have 3,500 individual members and 200 public sector agencies and partnerships in membership.
As well as lobbying together, the organisations claim national event planning will also benefit from the closer working relationship between them.
A website www.tourismtogether.org.uk is being developed to act as a portal to the new partnership.
