Whitbread has signed a £26m deal extending its IT contract with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

The five-and-a-half-year agreement will provide Whitbread with India-based applications support through CSC’s World Sourcing operation until March 2012.

The support covers Whitbread’s central information systems and technology, including data centre services, e-mail, internet and intranet.

Ben Wishart, group IT director for Whitbread Group, said that after the recent changes in company structure a new contract was needed.

“It is a credit to CSC that they were able to present a more flexible model. We find CSC to be client-orientated and delivery focused and we look forward to continuing to work successfully together,” he added.
