EasyGroup looks to Cyprus to extend budget hotel brand
EasyGroup plans to branch out on the Mediterranean holiday island of Cyprus with its EasyHotels franchise.
Reuters quoted EasyHotel spokesman Mario Missirlis yesterday as saying: "This is an opportunity to expand the brand."
EasyHotel has a hotel operating in London and one in Switzerland, with a second London franchise due to open this year.
In May, the company announced a £220m franchise deal for 38 new properties in the Middle East, North Africa, India and Pakistan.
