Enterprise Inns buys food-led Herefordshire inn

National pub operator Enterprise Inns has bought Ye Olde Salutation Inn in the medieval ‘black and white' village of Weobley in Herefordshire.

The timber-framed building in the main street of the village is made up of two former cottages that date back to the 17th century, with a brick extension added in Victorian times.

The food-led business offers three en-suite letting bedrooms to sleep six guests (including a four poster room), a lounge bar, and a 38-seat beamed restaurant with a stone open fireplace.

In 2006, the previous owner opened a heated decked patio dining area outside to seat 20 more customers who are protected from the elements by glass panelled sides and a retractable canopy.

The building also provides a private double en-suite bedroom and lounge for the owners or manager.

The Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off a guide price of £625,000 on behalf of Dr Mike Tai.
