Charlton House’s Robyn Jones triumphs in National Business Awards

Charlton House boss Robyn Jones has been named the Credit Suisse Outstanding Woman in Business 2006 in this year’s prestigious National Business Awards.

Chief executive Jones, who was short-listed for the same award in 2004, also won Caterer’s Food Service Caterer of the Year in July.

Kent brewer and pub company Shepherd Neame picked up the Corporate Social Responsibility Award at the event held at London’s Grosvenor House hotel last night.

Smoothie maker Innocent won the Business Innovation of the Year Award and the 3i Growth Strategy of the Year title.

The National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange, recognise and reward excellence, innovation and success.

Open to organisations of all sizes and from any industry sector, the combined turnover of entrants in this year’s competition was £366b, representing 1.8 million staff.
