Helen Parker has joined hotel marketing consortium Best Western Hotels GB in the newly created role of director of national accountants.

She was area director of sales for Scotland, Ireland & Northern England at Thistle Hotels and has also worked for Paramount Hotels as operations director.

Parker will report to the company’s new, as yet unnamed, director of distribution, revenue, sales and marketing, who takes up their role in January.

She will also oversee five newly appointed national accountant managers.

Best Western said it had shaken up its sales structure, moving from regional to national, to win more corporate custom for member hotels and international business.
