Jerry Brand, managing director of contract caterer Host Management, has parted ways with his UK sales director Roy Miller.

Miller, who joined Host in October 2005, has moved on to set up his own consultancy company in his native Scotland.

There was speculation when he joined Host that it would pave the way for close friend and former Aramark UK chief executive Bill Toner to follow him through the door as UK commercial director.

In March this year Caterer learned that Toner had changed his mind for personal reasons.

Brand said: “It seems the entrepreneurial environment that we have in Host has piqued Roy’s desire to run his own business so we shook hands a couple of weeks ago. It was all very amicable.”
