Gosset's Beatrice Cointreau picks up award
Chief executive of Champagne Gosset, Beatrice Cointreau, has been awarded the order of Agricultural Merit by the French government.
The minister Dominique Bussereau presented the insignia of Chevalier dans L'Ordre du Merite Agricole to Cointreau in Paris yesterday.
Bussereau cited Cointreau's dynamism, her responsibilities as a manger and the contribution she had made to the modernisation of a competitive sector as playing a "decisive role in the service of one of the areas of which our country is most proud."
Cointreau said of the award: "The award I was given tonight would not have happened without the work and passion of the past generations. I would also like to pay tribute to those who are working with me daily and recognise the exceptional work they have been doing with me for the past 22 years at Frapin and 12 years at Gosset."
