Tate Catering names new CEO
Tate Catering has named Robin Bidgood as its new chief executive following the impending departure of Duncan Ackery.
Bidgood, who is currently operations director at Tate Catering, will take up the new role in mid-December. He will replace Ackery, who is leaving the company to join De Vere and Village Hotels as food and beverage development director.
Before joining Tate Catering, Bidgood was group manager for catering giant Sodexho at the group's flagship operation British American Tobacco as well as general manager at Sutcliffe at the Royal Thames Yacht Club.
Commenting on his new role, he said: "Tate Catering is a great business and I look forward to the challenge of continuing the development of this unique business for years to come."
Separately, Tate Catering has been signed up to provide the catering at the seasonal ice rink at London's Somerset House's café and bar Skate! The menu will include breakfast, lunch and dinner for visitors to the ice rink, which runs until 28 January.
