Charles Wells sells new lease on Cambridgeshire pub

Charles Wells has sold a new 15-year lease on its food-led Eaton Oak pub in the Cambridgeshire village of Eaton Ford.

It is one of 15 managed pubs in the Northern Home Counties that the group is offering to the lease market through property agent Christie + Co.

The character property has an open-plan bar and restaurant to seat up to 145 guests and nine en-suite bedrooms in a separate annexe that are regularly used by business travellers.

It also has four-bedroom owners' accommodation and a large beer patio.

The new owners are experienced Cambridgeshire publicans Chris and Kay Watson, who formerly owned the Mermaid Inn in Ellington and ran the George Inn gastropub in Spaldwick.

The Ipswich office of Christie + Co sold the lease off a guide price of £150,000.
