EasyCruise boss quits role after less than nine months(21 December 2006 16:45)Gwyn Jones has quit as chief executive of EasyCruise after the company announced plans to relocate its head office. Jones, who was managing director of P&O Cruises until its demerger from P&O Group in 2000, only joined the start-up cruise company in May. He said EasyCruise’s decision to relocate its centre of operations from Monaco to Athens next year made it an opportune time to hand over to a Greek management team. Recently appointed finance director Stelios Panagiotou will head up the Athens office until a general manager can be appointed. The EasyCrusieOne liner will be based in Greece from the summer of 2007. EasyCruise will continue to have a marketing company based in the UK headed by Paul Ellerby. Article continues below
