Three Hook Norton Brewery pubs win Beautiful Beer Awards

Three Hook Norton Brewery pubs have been awarded Beautiful Beer Awards.

The Reindeer in Banbury, the Bell Inn in Adderbury and the Red Lion in Ilmington, made the list of 100 winning pubs, and were awarded a Beautiful Beer plaque this week.

Judges for the scheme assess the self-nominated pubs on a number of quality standards categories from the way beer is stored to how it is served and staff knowledge.

James Clarke, managing director of Hook Norton, said: "The Beautiful Beer plaque will tell customers that when they order a beer in these three pubs, they can be guaranteed it's a great one."

The awards were launched in March 2006, and licensees can apply for the Gold or Platinum Award, which rewards pubs for offering a variety of beers, as well as beer tastings and food pairings.
