Fuller, Smith & Turner signs London Marathon sponsorship deal
London brewer Fuller, Smith & Turner has signed a three-year deal for London Pride to be the official beer of the Flora London Marathon.
The six-figure deal, which is valid from this year, will see 15 Fullers' employees take part in the 2007 Flora London Marathon on 22 April.
In addition, London Pride logos will feature on billboards at the start and finish lines of the race, as well as at key points throughout the route and on post race kit-bags.
Fuller's managing director, John Roberts, said: "I am delighted to be announcing this deal. The Marathon is an icon of our capital city and, as London's brewer, it is highly appropriate that we should be supporting it."
Race director David Bedford said it was appropriate as London's favourite ale and London's favourite race were both about passion, quality and dedication.
Bedford added: "While we wouldn't necessarily recommend a beer as part of the Marathon runner's training regime, London Pride is certainly the best thing with which to celebrate your achievement."
This year's London Marathon will take place on the 22 April.
