Surrey hotel sells off £1.35m asking price

A four-diamond Surrey hotel with an award-winning garden has been bought by a Guildford hotelier.

The new owner of the Hillside hotel in the Surrey village of Worplesdon is Manny Sawhney, managing director of the Asperion hotel in Guildford.

Sited at Perry Hill, near Whitmore Common, the hotel offers 15 contemporary en-suite bedrooms, including one four-poster room.

Facilities include a 20-seat bar-lounge that opens into the award-winning landscaped garden with two water features and a patio area; a 20-seat, wood-panelled restaurant/breakfast room; wireless broadband access; and a tanked cellar.

The hotel includes an owners' apartment with a double bedroom, bathroom and sitting room.

Knight Frank's hotels department sold the freehold off a guide price of £1.35m on behalf of Oliver Baum.
