Legacy Hotels takes on first pub contract
Hotel management company Legacy has taken on its first pub contract, Liverpool's Symphony Bar.
The company took over the student boozer after former owner Provence Pub Company was placed into administration last November.
Legacy has now reopened the 10,000sq ft Symphony after a £80,000 refurbishment, including a new kitchen and interiors.
Legacy chief executive Andy Townsend said: "We are pleased to have completed the renovations so quickly after agreeing to take over the management contract as this is a slight departure from our core business of hotel management."
Legacy recently added three Swallow Hotel properties to its portfolio after the collapse of the group last September.
These comprised the Swallow Rose & Crown hotel in Salisbury; the Swallow Springfield hotel in Gateshead and the Swallow Aston Court hotel in Derby in a deal worth more than £850,000 over the contract period.
