Villeroy & Boch has added 10 new pieces to the Marchesi range of five plates that it developed five years ago with top Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi. The dishes have the same diameter (290mm) but centres of varying sizes and depths, and all co-ordinate with the group's Food & Mood series. The newcomers include a two-compartment plate with an oval hollow and a flat surface to accommodate both main and side dishes a 140ml bouillon cup with matching lid and handles a multifunctional chalice for risottos, soups or desserts a 23cm-deep dish for pastas and salads and a small gourmet dish for amuse-bouches or small bites that can be held in the hand. The group has also added two new pieces to its Marchesi 8/10 cutlery range - a shortened bouillon spoon and a long-drink spoon.
