Large schools and universities are the target customers for Winterhalter's new MT (Multi Tank) rack conveyor dishwasher, which can clean thousands of dishes each hour. The system, which can be operated by just two people, is designed around modular tanks each comprising a specific zone (such as prewash, wash and rinse) that can be tailored to suit the site. It is packed with features to reduce water, energy and detergent consumption and thus running costs. For example, the heat recovery systems use existing warmth to preheat cold inlet water, and the exhaust air heat recovery system will clip up to 12kWh per day off energy use while creating a more comfortable environment. The dishwasher has three wash programmes (intensive, standard and fast) and has an 800mm depth and a passage height of 460mm and width of 500mm.
