A clutch of software upgrades can be retrofitted to existing Rational SelfCooking Centers using a USB stick. They include two new cooking modes (for potato products and egg dishes and desserts), new LevelControl technology to adjust to changing conditions, and an automatic crisping option on Overnight Cooking. There are also new cooking processes for specialist dishes (such as poached poultry, biscuits, and biscuits with moisture) and improved processes for Asian dishes such as rice, noodles and Peking duck. The new Pizza control setting can produce up to 100 pizzas in eight minutes. New accessories include a non-stick pizza dish for bases up to 280mm in diameter, a grill and pizza tray, and a Multibaker that can cook between 36 and 240 eggs at a time (depending on model) along with small tortes, cakes and tortillas.
