LSG Sky Chefs appoints new regional chief operating officer for UK
In-flight caterer LSG Sky Chefs has appointed Dale Easdon as regional chief operating officer for the UK following the retirement of Guenter Beer.
Easdon joins LSG from Continental Airlines where he was responsible for in-flight services operations at 130 of the airline's locations around the world.
Before joining Continental eight years ago, Easdon worked in the UK for Alpha Airport Services.
Thomas Nagel, operations director at LSG, said: "We are delighted that Dale has joined our organisation. He is an expert in our industry and brings experience from both the airline as well as the caterer perspective to our company."
Easdon said: "I've had a marvellous time working in America but am extremely pleased to be returning to work in the UK.
"LSG Sky Chefs is the major player in the airline catering industry and I'm looking forward to the exciting challenge of developing business opportunities in the UK market."
Beer, who spent more than 36 years with LSG, held a host of management roles including assignments in Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea and the UK where he has been responsible for re-organising LSG Sky Chefs' UK operations.
"Our sincere thanks go to Guenter for his enormous loyalty and major contributions to our company's development," Nagel said.
