A new line of powder stock mixes has joined Major International's range of concentrated stock base pastes. Suitable for soups, gravies and sauces, the new mixes are said to provide consistent and authentic natural flavours without lengthy preparation. The seven varieties - beef, cheese, chicken, fish, lamb, mushroom and vegetable - are claimed to contain less than 1g of salt per kg and to be free of flavour enhancers, artificial colours, preservatives and gluten. The 1kg tubs will yield up to 50 litres of stock when diluted.
