Sanguine Hospitality launched with purchase of Hoole Hall hotel
A former director of Merseyside's Centre Island Hotels, Simon Matthews-Williams, has bought Hoole Hall Hotel in Cheshire in a £6.35m deal.
Matthew-Williams, chairman of newly formed Sanguine Hospitality aims to invest £3m into the property transforming it into a luxury country house, complete with conferencing, banqueting facilities and spa.
The Hoole Hall Hotel is first in a line of planned acquisitions in the North-west region by Sanguine, which plans to create a group operating 300 to 500 rooms.
Matthews-Williams, chairman of Sanguine, said: "I have known Hoole Hall for many years. It is a fabulous location and with some improved facilities will play its part in the region's successful hotel and leisure market."
Matthews-Williams also owns Bristol's Cadbury House Country and Leisure Club, which after a £14.4m investment is due to complete its transformation into a luxury hotel and country club this May..
