The Forest View hotel owns a small stretch of the river bank and has rights to 12 miles of fishing along both banks. Set in woodlands, the hotel commands views across three counties – Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire. It has a two-star rating and has an English Tourist Council Silver Award. Parts of the original building date back to the mid-1800s but the detached property has more recent extensions. Forest View offers 12 en-suite bedrooms (including two suites), a 32-seat restaurant, a 20-seat lounge bar, and a one-bedroom owners’ apartment with its own entrance and roof terrace. There is potential to develop the business further by opening a tea garden on the trade terrace during the summer and by opening for more than the current seven months a year.
