Prince Charles slams the Big Mac

Prince Charles slammed fast-food giant McDonald's yesterday and seemed to call for a ban on the Big Mac.

He added that he thought the key to solving the problem of childhood obesity was to ban the burger.

McDonalds said it was "disappointed" by the Prince's remarks. A spokeswoman said: "This appears to be an off-the-cuff remark, in our opinion. It does not reflect our menu or where we are as a business."

Prince Charles runs a farm on his Highgrove Estate which produces pesticide and fertiliser free products under the Duchy of Cornwall label.
