Hotelympia to open with 10k run
The opening for next year's Hotelympia conference will again be a 10k race starting and finishing at ExCel London, organiser Fresh RM and charity Springboard have announced.
The race, which will take place on Sunday 17 February 2008, is in the early planning stages and the organisers are urgently seeking sponsorship support.
The marketing campaign will run from now until next February giving sponsors maximum brand exposure for the race.
Toby Wand, exhibition director for Hotelympia 2008, said: "Following the success of last year's inaugural event, we're developing the race to attract more runners, more supporters and raise even more money for Springboard.
"The entry fee will be reduced, making the race more accessible to everyone and we're also planning a new route. The post race party will again be a key feature of the event."
Anne Pierce, chief executive of Springboard, said: "We're delighted be involved again. This is a great event to add competitive edge to your Hotelympia presence.
"We're looking for all kinds of sponsorship from headline sponsor to water sponsor to the post race party. We're also looking for industry support to publicise the race and make it a huge success. All the funds we raise will help young and disadvantaged people improve their prospects through a career in our industry"
