Hilton launches 10-year plan to open 1,000 European hotels
Hilton Hotels Corporation will launch 1,000 new hotels in Europe over the next decade, the company revealed today.
Speaking at the International Hotel Investment Forum in Berlin Tom Keltner, president of brand performance and development group at HHC, said that the hotel giant planned to roll out its successful North American brands into Europe.
"Looking at the Hilton estate in Europe we need to have different price points and we believe that we can bring our different brands over here and make them perform," he told delegates.
Keltner also confirmed Hilton Hotel Corporation's plans to roll out three brands into Europe
"We'll be refining each brand so it fits in with its local market," he said, revealing that the group would ease the new brands into the European market by adding a "by Hilton" tag to the name.
Hilton Hotels Corporation currently has more than 2,900 hotels and 500,000 rooms in over 80 countries, employing 105,000 staff.
